Risk Assessment Statement
EKO
make assessments of the risks to the Health and Safety
of employees and also persons not in our employment,
but who may be affected by the conduct of our work.
The
purpose of the risk assessment is to help us to identify
what measures should be taken to reduce risk arising
from our work. All of the findings of our risk assessments
are recorded.
This assessment involves identifying
any hazard present in the working environment, evaluating
the extent of the risks involved and taking into account
existing precautions and their effectiveness.
A hazard
is something with the potential to cause harm (including
items, substances, plant or machines, methods of work,
the working environment etc.). Risk is the likelihood
of potential harm from that hazard being realised.
From
the assessment we can take further safety measures to
reduce risk.
Risk
depends on:
| *
|
The
likelihood of that harm occurring.
|
| *
|
The
potential severity of that harm.
|
| *
|
The
number of people who might be exposed.
|
Assessments
are reviewed every 3 months or whenthe work activity
changes, whichever is sooner
